"If my people, who are called by my name, will
humble themselves and
pray and seek my face
and turn from their wicked
ways, then I will hear
from heaven, and I will
forgive their sin and will
heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14

The Fall 2009 National 40 Days for Life ended Nov. 1st.  Here in Cherry Hill, NJ we will continue our peaceful vigil all year.  We will be coming on Wednesdays 10:30-11:30 and Wednesdays 1:00-2:00pm.  Please join us at one of these times or if you can not come during these times please email us to let us know when you can come and we will let you know if we can meet you at that time.  Please contact us to let us know you will be joining us and to check to make sure there are no cancelations that week.

Even though we will not be out on the sidewalk 12 hrs a day/7 days a week during the Spring 40 Days for Life campaign which will be running Nationally Feb 17 to March 28th, we will be out there on Wed. and other times.

If you are interested in participating in or helping plan the next 40 Days for Life campaign in the Fall, please contact us.  We hope continue to gain new volunteers and people to help run the 40 Days for Life so we can have a successful campaign in the Fall of 2010.  We need parishes, priests, and local pro-life committees to help us.  We need to start the planning for the Fall now.  So please contact us if you are interested.

You can help make a life-saving impact by joining our local vigil and praying peacefully on the sidewalk in front of the:

Cherry Hill Women's Center
502 Kings Hwy N.

Parking/standing instructions:

The clinic owns two buildings, 500 & 502 Kings Hwy N.  They are stone buildings and attached in the middle.  Please do not park or walk onto the property of either building.  You may stand on the public sidewalk in front of 502 Kings Hwy to pray.  You may also give out flyers to women coming into the clinic as long as they pass by the sidewalk.  Please do not walk onto the grass or parking lot (black top)of the clinic even if someone asks for help.  There is a no tresspassing sign.
You can park #504 Kings Hwy next to the abortion clinic.  It is a white house with a white fence separating it from the abortion clinic.  The house was owned by a pro-life man, but it is sold.  You can park there until someone tells us we can't or until the construction begins.  Or you can park across the street from the clinic or at St. Peter Celestine's.  There is also a building for sale at the corner of Knoll st. across from the corner of the abortion clinic.  You can park there. Click
HERE for Map.

Prayer

The most important part of our vigil is the prayer and fasting.  To the right of this website you will find links for both Christian and Catholic Prayers that can be said during your vigil hour at the clinic.  The purpose of the peaceful prayer vigil at the clinic is to have prayers and reparation going up to God at the site where the innocence babies are being killed. Please try to make the committment to be praying at the clinic and try to keep talking to a minimium. Too much talking can be looked upon as a sign of indifference to women going into the clinic in crissis pregnancies with nobody to turn to and the fact that babies are being killed at the site.

Fasting

By fasting we mean giving up something like sweets or coffee and offering it to God for these intentions.  Please click on the link to the right to read more about Fasting.

Why pray at the Clinic instead of at home or in church?

"If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well," but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it?  James 2:14

Many pregnant moms coming to the clinic want to keep their baby's but are in need of a home or other necessities.  We bring flyers with us that have the phone #'s of crisis pregnancy centers, homes for pregnant moms and adoption information.

Other moms and dads are just in need of our peaceful prayer presence to remind them of God's love for them and for their babies.

By coming to the clinic we have the opportunity to be missionaries for Christ without having to go to a foreign land.  The babies and moms and dads need our presence to remind them that Christ is still alive today and cares for them.

LOU ENGLE
President, The Call

www.thecall.com

"We have fought the battle for the ending of abortion in politics, in the press, on the ground, and in every way. But prayer and fasting is the most powerful weapon in the arsenal of the church to bring forth social justice. It effects the unseen world where spiritual powers release destructive ideologies. Esther's three day fast in the Bible appealed to the Supreme Court of Heaven which overruled the Supreme Court of Haman and the political death decree of Persia against the Jews was radically reversed. I believe 40 Days For Life is an incredibly powerful movement to break the spiritual powers that still restrain the final overthrow of the death decree of 1973. Jesus fasted 40 days and broke the power of Satan himself. Why not 40 Days For Life?"

HAYWOOD ROBINSON, M.D.
Former Abortion Provider

"To all soldiers in the fight and struggle for life: I heartily endorse 40 Days for Life and look forward to my second opportunity to participate. I live in College Station, Texas, and am proud to say I participated in the first 40 Days for Life. Awesome things happen when God's people fast and pray, especially when there's the unity, focus, and a cause so close to God's heart. Please seek the Lord for personal direction in this matter."

Mother Theresa on Abortion

"Mother Teresa of Calcutta was called
from this world on September 5, 1997.
In my many conversations with her
about the pro-life movement, it was
very clear that she expected us not
simply to pray but to intervene. She told
me about how she went to the places
where abortions were performed and
took the women by the arm, away from
that place of death and to her
communities where they would find
hope and life for themselves
and their children."
Fr. Frank Pavonne, Priests for Life

“If we allow a mother to kill her own
child, how can we tell people not to
 kill each other?”  Mother Teresa

"The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion."
